The high performance small waveboard was the brainchild of our team rider Ross McDonald who nutted out the dimensions with Trigger Bros shaper Simon Forward. It resembles an old late 70's style squash tail in outline but it's definitely not retro. The shape measures up narrower than our Hydro Fish and features a full pinned nose, which allows the board to be surfed more confidently in slightly larger waves and also more vertically than your average fish.
The dimensions of the Ross "Squishfish" are 5'0" x 19¾ x 2 3/8" with a concave to double barrel concave shape underneath plus a slim soft rail.
When I tested this board at Gunna, I was so impressed I ordered a 5'10" version from the carpark immediately, and for Ross a new lease on life has seen him place in the 1st two Open PSC comps for 2010. Glowing reports from Trigger Team riders Callum Nicholson, Adam Morris and Hayden Forrest have also seen them jump on board this exciting new machine. Hayden surfed his 5'6" x 19½ version in the small wave heats at Bells Junior challenge going on to take 2nd place.
Demo's are available from 5'8" to 6'4" with similar sizes flowing on to our stores. These will retail at $670 or place a custom order.
