First off a brief run down of the different constructions available across the range of boards we stock.
- Innegra Carbon (LTD) Innegra Carbon is a lighter and more impact resistant material than Carbon Kevlar which, when combined with a single PVC/Wood Sandwich and Wood/Carbon heel reinforcements, guarantees the most efficient construction in terms of lightweight and maximum resistance against impact. Combine this with fibreglass, wood and PVC foam and you have a very strong board.
The easiest way to see the advantages of this material is with this video.
- High Resistance Skin (HRS)
HRS is a lightweight and durable construction for everyday use. Strategic use of glass reinforcements ensures adequate stiffness, while a thick, strong outer skin gives the board’s hull phenomenal strength.
- Pure The Pure Technology is an exceptionally durable and feather-weight construction for frequent use. Glass reinforcements ensure an optimum stiffness, while a thick, durable outer skin gives the board’s hull great strength. Wood/glass heel reinforcement.
- Double LayerSimply put, this is the best technology available on the market. The highly durable 2nd layer material allows the boards to be inflated to an air pressure of more than 20 PSI – without compromising any materials. A stiff, responsive, high-performance ride that does what you want. The material used for the Fly Air is a durable Tarpaulin PVC. On the inside of the Fly Air thousands of nylon threads connect the deck with the bottom of the board to keep it in a functional and performing shape.
Advanced Wave Boards
Pro Wave LTD & HRS
The Pro Wave is designed to offer shortboard like performance with it’s overall profile, squash tail, slim rails and slightly domed deck (it was flat last year). Flip it over and you’ve got a single concave entry, transitioning into a single/double concave mid section through to the tail for speed and lift. The fins have been updated construction wise and they are also reduced in size. The board has 5 Futures boxes allowing your to ride the board as a quad or thruster. 3 thruster fins are included and a mastfoot insert for Windsurfing option.
Local riders who started out on bigger, floatier thick railed SUP’s are now flocking to the Pro Wave in sizes under 9 foot. If you are confident in your paddle balance and have no troubles catching waves but have found your current board is holding you back on the wave face you can’t go wrong moving down to a narrow slim board like the Pro Wave.
Allround Wave Boards
Allwave LTD & HRS
The Allwave is the next step up from the Pro Wave in stability and floatation. Comparing a Pro Wave 8’4″ and an Allwave 8’3″ the volumes are 104L & 120L respectively but the biggest difference is in the widths – 28.5″ & 32″. Hopefully that gives you an idea of where these models differentiate.
The Fly Pure
The Fly Air
Tons of people don’t have the space to store a large SUP at home or even a car capable of holding roof racks so to have a board you can infate/deflate is simply amazing. The technology built into these boards is pretty mind blowing, allowing them to inflate to high pressures while never distorting the shape.
